Running prostheses

Hip and lower leg prostheses designed for active physical activity

Prosthetic and orthopedic company "SPTM-ortho M" manufactures leg prostheses for a stump of any length.

Basic information

Running prostheses are a separate type of technical means of rehabilitation

Our specialists select the complete set of each prosthesis individually, based on your tasks and features. Our goal is to rehabilitate every patient who came to us.

Running leg prostheses are structurally no different from modular leg prostheses. The exception is a stop, a high degree of energy saving. The efficiency of such a foot is almost 100%. The running foot can be made in several forms, depending on the tasks and the manufacturer.

If necessary, the design of the prosthesis can be implemented in such a way that both a modular and a running foot can be used with one sleeve.

Running hip prostheses are also structurally no different from modular lower leg prostheses. The exception is the knee joint and the foot, a high degree of energy saving. The sports knee module has the ability to bend without much resistance. However, for safety there is a lock that allows you to move safely on a prosthesis of this type. The efficiency of the running foot is almost 100%. The running foot can be made in several forms, depending on the tasks and the manufacturer.

The photo shows a running prosthesis, which is an independent product. If necessary, the design of the prosthesis can be implemented in such a way that with one sleeve, both a modular and a running version can be used.

Even a small run provides good conditions as an aerobic workout. Running has a positive effect on the cardiovascular system. Running on a prosthesis has a positive effect on a person who has lost a limb, allowing you to believe in your strength and capabilities again.

And most importantly, jogging on a prosthesis is a great way to test a stump sleeve. During the run, increased loads are applied to the sleeve, and the patient can identify non-delivery of the sleeve, if any, and eliminate them in time, preventing injury to the stump.

Despite the fact that there is no such thing as sports prostheses in the federal register of technical means of rehabilitation, we have found a way to resolve this issue, and our patients receive running prostheses at the expense of IPRA.
